Do you need to re-home your dog?
If the answer is yes, then we may be able to help.
We understand that re-homing your dog can be a stressful time for both you and your pet.
We at Adopt-a-Bull Terrier rescue will do everything we can to help make this period as stress-free as possible.
Wherever possible we will try to re-home direct from your dogs current home to a new one, but this is not always possible. We do have foster spaces for the most urgent cases, but sometimes these have a waiting list.
However if your case is urgent then we will do our utmost to find your dog a foster or forever home as soon as possible. One of our coordinators will visit you and your dog at home and assess your dog prior to re-homing. This gives us a good idea of what sort of home we will be looking for. You will be asked to sign a form to relinquish ownership of your dog to us. Once you have relinquished your dog to us, we will work to find your dog a new home.
Although you may never meet your dogs’ new owners you can contact us for updates if you wish. New owners are not allowed to pass on the dog to a third party and if they are unable to keep the dog they must notify us and a new home will be found.
All new homes undergo a home check. Prospective owners undergo a home check visit several telephone calls with their local coordinator and the foster carer if the dog is in foster. They will also be asked to visit the dog several times before a decision is made on whether the applicants are suitable. We do not ask for a fee from you to re-home a dog, but a donation is greatly appreciated. This helps continue our work with dogs who are in great need. We do ask that your dogs vaccinations are up to date and that they are neutered or spayed where possible. This helps find your dog a new home far more quickly as it means the dog spends less time in foster recovering from a surgical procedure or having to wait several weeks in between courses of vaccinations.

Please let us know the reason for re-homing and any problems or issues your dog has. We ask that you are as truthful as possible as most problems/issues can be addressed and it will prevent us from placing the dog in the wrong home.
